The National Research Centre (NRC) has issued a scientific report evaluating the antimicrobial activity of two newly developed Egyptian products produced for Lavander Life Exporting Group: a therapeutic soap and a medical candle. This comes within the framework of supporting scientific innovation and enhancing national industries based on research and development.
Laboratory results, according to internationally recognized standards for evaluating antimicrobial efficacy, showed that both products possess broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal properties. The therapeutic soap demonstrated effective inhibition of the growth of several pathogenic microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Helicobacter pylori, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida, and Aspergillus, based on precise measurements of inhibition zones.
The medical candle also demonstrated multiple functional properties, as it helps promote relaxation and supports a sense of comfort, in addition to its insect-repellent effect against mosquitoes, which enhances its potential use in household and wellness applications.
The report issued by the Aromatic Oils and Pastes Evaluation and Analysis Unit at the National Research Centre confirmed that all tests were conducted using advanced internationally approved scientific protocols, reinforcing the reliability of the results and supporting the potential development of both products for applied use in medical and preventive fields.
Dr. Mai Eldarawy,Ceo of Lavander Life Exporting Group, stated that the results represent an important step in supporting the group’s direction toward developing science-based products and relying on naturally derived ingredients with proven effectiveness, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products in regional and international markets.
She added that cooperation with the National Research Centre reflects the importance of integration between scientific research and the industrial sector in transforming research outputs into applicable and marketable products.
