The activities of the “Pharmacy EPNU Cosmo Day.. From Lab to Market” conference, organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy at East Port Said National University, witnessed the attendance and participation of Dr. Mai El Darawy, Chairwoman of the Lavander Life Group, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Atef Alam El-Din, President of the University, and the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Mohamed Yasser, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, with the participation of a number of faculty members and specialists in pharmacy, cosmetology, and pharmaceutical industries.
Within the framework of the conference activities, a joint cooperation protocol was signed and activated between the Lavander Life Group and East Port Said National University. Dr. Mai El Darawy signed the protocol on behalf of the group, while Prof. Dr. Atef Alam El-Din signed on behalf of the university.
The protocol includes the launch of an integrated project for cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants within a designated plot of land inside the university, with the initial implementation steps beginning with the planting of lavender seedlings. This aims to strengthen the linkage between academic study, practical application, and labor market requirements.
The cooperation also stipulates leveraging the technical and industrial expertise of Lavander Life in manufacturing processes and natural oil extraction, in addition to training students according to the latest industrial standards, contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres for both local and international labor markets.
Furthermore, the protocol includes supporting scientific research and innovation through joint applied research, encouraging student projects and entrepreneurship in pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries based on medicinal and aromatic plants.

This collaboration comes as part of strengthening integration between academic institutions and the industrial sector, establishing a practical model that combines education, production, and sustainable development.
During the event, Dr. Mai El Darawy was honored in recognition of her contributions to practical training, youth empowerment, and her role in linking industry with scientific research and development initiatives.
