In a strategic step reflecting a commitment to sustainable agriculture and the development of an economic model based on medicinal and aromatic plants, Dr. Mai El Darawy has launched a lavender cultivation project at East Port Said National University, as part of Lavander Life Group’s broader vision to promote lavender cultivation culture across Egypt.
The project represents one of the practical models aimed at transforming lavender cultivation from a traditional agricultural activity into an integrated industry encompassing essential oil extraction, manufacturing, and training, thereby enhancing the economic value of the plant in both the Egyptian and regional markets.
The initiative is being implemented on campus under a cooperation protocol with East Port Said National University, where a dedicated plot of land has been allocated for planting lavender seedlings as an applied educational model.
Lavander Life Group is leading this initiative by providing its technical and industrial expertise in agriculture, production, and manufacturing, in addition to training students according to the latest practical standards, contributing to the preparation of highly qualified professionals for both local and international labor markets.
The project reflects Lavander Life’s vision of expanding the culture of lavender cultivation in Egypt and opening new horizons for a value-added agricultural economy based on medicinal and aromatic plants.
