Azimat Misr Foundation for Comprehensive Development has announced the appointment of businesswoman Dr. Mai El Darawy, Chairwoman of the Lavander Life Group, as a member of the Foundation and Chair of its Entrepreneurship Committee, as part of its ongoing efforts to attract influential female leaders and strengthen women’s role in economic and social development.
This appointment reflects the Foundation’s mission to empower Egyptian women through service, educational, cultural, and social programs, while supporting women entrepreneurs, artisans, talented women, and owners of small businesses, ultimately enhancing women’s role in serving their families and communities.
The Foundation stated that Dr. Mai El Darawy was selected in recognition of her distinguished track record in entrepreneurship, her extensive experience in industry and export, and her continued contributions to empowering women and youth through initiatives that support startups and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
As Chair of the Entrepreneurship Committee, Dr. El Darawy will lead initiatives and programs designed to support women entrepreneurs, equip startup founders with the skills and resources they need, and strengthen collaboration with relevant institutions to build an integrated ecosystem that advances women’s economic empowerment in line with the Foundation’s vision and development goals.
Azimat Misr Foundation for Comprehensive Development is an Egyptian civil society organization dedicated to implementing development initiatives in the areas of women’s empowerment, support for persons with disabilities, elderly care, literacy programs, and participation in village development projects under Egypt’s national development initiatives.
