As part of its corporate social responsibility and its vision to support education and youth entrepreneurship, Lavander Life Exporting sponsored several student projects participating in the Pharma & Beauty Expo, held at East Port Said National University in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Club.
During the event, Dr. Mai El-Darawy, founder and Chairwoman of Lavander Life Exporting , delivered a special motivational session in which she shared her inspiring success story—how she turned challenges into opportunities, and managed to balance family responsibilities, academic work, and entrepreneurship. Her journey served as a role model for new students, particularly in the fields of medicine and social entrepreneurship.
The event also witnessed the signing of a scientific cooperation protocol between the university and the company, which includes:
• Cultivating a special variety of lavender, owned by the company, on campus
• Conducting applied research and scientific studies to extract natural oils from the plant
• Using those oils in the production of cosmetic products
This collaboration will be carried out through the group’s brand Laverne, under an outsourced manufacturing model.
The exhibition was held under the patronage of:
• Prof. Atef Alam El-Din – University President
• Prof. Rasha Anani – Vice President for Academic Affairs
• Dr. Mohamed Yasser – Assistant Professor, Director of the Clinical Pharmacy Program and Head of the Entrepreneurship Club
• Dr. Islam Kamal – Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy

The event featured wide participation from students and graduates, showcasing innovative projects in the fields of beauty and health. It also included a bazaar featuring over 20 emerging brands, as well as contributions from investors and industry experts.
