As part of Egypt’s ongoing support for the small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMEs) sector, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) inaugurated the activities of the “Private Label Egypt” B2B manufacturing exhibition, which was held during the past period as the first exhibition of its kind in Egypt and one of the key economic platforms supporting the deepening of local manufacturing and connecting producers with major brands, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products in local and regional markets.
The opening was led by Bassem Rahmy, CEO of MSMEDA, and attended by Suhail Mohamed Torki, Chairman of Turki Expo for Export, the exhibition’s organizer, along with several officials from the agency and representatives of the private sector, reflecting the strong partnership between the state and the business community in supporting national production chains.
The exhibition featured the participation of entrepreneur Dr. Mai Eldarawy,CEO of Lavander Life Group, who delivered a specialized lecture titled “From Local Gem to Global Brand.” During the session, she shared her extensive experience in export and entrepreneurship, highlighting pathways for building Egyptian brands capable of competing in global markets.
The session was co-presented by Mr. Mohamed Mostafa, Financial and Risk Management Consultant, and witnessed strong engagement and interaction from the audience, particularly on topics related to international expansion and export-oriented brand building.
Bassem Rahmy emphasized during his tour of the exhibition that “Private Label Egypt” represents a real opportunity for industrial and production-based enterprises to showcase their capabilities to major brands, stressing the importance of leveraging contract manufacturing agreements to expand, grow, strengthen supply chains, and reduce reliance on imports.

The exhibition was held in District 5, New Cairo, with broad participation from medium, small, and micro industrial and production enterprises, along with a number of Egyptian brands across various sectors, reflecting the state’s efforts to expand the local manufacturing base and strengthen production partnerships.
